The fleet features between 70 and 100 vessels from some 15-20 countries, staffed by thousands of young trainees who enjoy the experience of a lifetime. Initially, the fleet gathers for pre-race practice on Spain's Mediterranean coast, at Alicante (4-7 July), followed by the first race up the coast to Barcelona, where the fleet is visible between 12 and 15 July.
From Barcelona there is the annual Cruise in Company for six days as the fleet heads further north past the Pyrenees and across to France, mooring at Toulon between 21 and 24 July. The final, four-day race is east to Genoa, one of Italy's most historic ports, where the Tall Ships Race ends. Your final chance to see the fleet is there (28-31 July).
