The lively Saint Loup Fair takes over the centre of Limoges for one day in May, in a tradition that dates back four centuries.

The streets are lined with stallholders selling Limousin specialities like sausages, pâté and wine. The fair dates back to 1566, when the town was granted a market licence by Charles IX.
