The gourd (Cougourdon in French) holds pride of place at this traditional celebration and it is amazing to see how many uses can be found for this vegetable, given a little imagination. Rich dishes are served and locals exhibit their engraved and painted gourds.
A mass is held to commemorate Annunciation and a traditional Provencale band provide music to accompany the displays.
