Open to skiers of all ages and abilities, the Foulée Blanche is one of the most popular events in the Swiss Alps. The cross-country race consists of laps around a snow-covered lake (the Etang Long) and a golf course.

Depending on their category (women, juniors, seniors or veterans), skiers cover between five and 15 kilometres. The event is open to all and many holidaymakers also take part.
The emphasis is on participation as opposed to serious competition and there are plenty of activities surrounding the race. Non-skiers are welcome to stand along the course and cheer participants on.
