Maldon Mud Race

The race is a hilarious way to round off Christmas and raise money for charity at the same time. Wet, mad and muddy, the slimy sensation is really not that pleasant and not as easy as it seems. Competitors need determination and nerves of steel to complete the challenge. Remember, those wellies could weigh you down!

Participants that fancy their chances should be fairly fit (don't underestimate the power of the mud) and wear old clothes that they can throw away afterwards. Another trick is to tape on footwear to stop it from falling off. For a clear run, contestants should make their way to the front to avoid getting trampled on or, worse still, buried in a muddy grave.
