Visit nearby beaches or hop on a train to picturesque Delft or Leiden.
In the spring, don’t miss Keukenhof, with its dazzling fields of colourful tulips. An hour away by train is the ancient city of Delft, where you can pretend you’re in a Vermeer painting. Leiden and Utrecht are even closer, and are just as pretty as Amsterdam with their canals and a relaxed student atmosphere. Zandvoort is a seaside town with a vast, white sandy beach, popular on hot summer days.
