Boston - Shop

Procure Italian goodies in Back Bay, old maps from Eugene Galleries and deeply discounted designer fashions at Filene's Basement.

Shopping Streets

Buy baubles and beautiful people clothes on Newbury Street, Boylston Street and in Copley Place. Charles Street is the place for antiques and art. Find funky bits and crafts around Porter Square in Cambridge. While you're there, head to Massachusetts Avenue for books, books and more books.

Markets

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is about the best the city has to offer. It has national chains like Ann Taylor and Crate & Barrel, local stores such as Celtic Weavers and pushcarts hawking t-shirts and souvenirs. Dedicated to all things edible is the Quincy Market section.

Shopping Tips

There is no state tax on clothes. Generally shops are open Monday-Saturday 9 or 10am to 6 or 7pm. Malls and larger stores also open on Sunday, 12pm-6pm.
