Buy a lump of creamy Oisin goat blue from Sheridans Cheesemongers, the best pampering skin remedies from Nue Blue Eriu, and top local fashion at the Design Centre.
Join the throng in Grafton Street, home to a multitude of fashion labels and upmarket department store Brown Thomas. Funky boutiques fill Temple Bar and antique shops line Francis Street. Home-grown designers are at William Street's Powerscourt Townhouse. Head over the river for O'Connell Street's department stores Clerys and Arnott's. Nearby Henry Street and Mary Street have fun, cheaper stores like Penneys.
Buy flowers, fruit and vegetables amid the barrows and banter of Moore Street, and search for vintage clothes in George's Street Arcade. Temple Bar boasts the weekend Book Market, Temple Bar Food Market and Saturday's boho Cow Lane Designer Mart with one-off Irish designs. Antique and junk collectors trawl Blackberry Fair on Rathmines Road at the weekend.
Unless you love crowds, avoid Grafton Street on Saturday afternoons. Standard shopping hours are Monday-Saturday 9.30am-6pm (late-night opening Thursday). Sunday hours are 11am-5pm, although not all shops are open. Markets run at weekends.
