Toronto - Food & Drink

From the moose meat of the frenetic downtown area to the serenity of slow seafood by the Beaches, Toronto will tickle your taste buds.

Exploratory: Downtown

Dine on bison and moose meat on Wellington Street, or enjoy some Canadian back bacon on Front Street East.

Casual: The Beaches

The Beaches area on Queen Street East is a great place to unwind with a slow, tasty meal. Near the wide beach of Ashbridges Bay, find laid-back pubs and seafood restaurants, serving up honey mustard Atlantic salmon and maritime lobster.

Fabulous: Yorkville

It's in Yorkville that you find some of Toronto's best restaurants. Visiting Hollywood stars dine on Italian dishes with a Canadian twist on Avenue Road. Choose contemporary national cuisine such as Canadian duck magret and confit with snap peas on Cumberland Street.

Little Italy: College Street

Little Italy is lined with family-run Italian restaurants, and cafés that are packed much of the year. Sample the pastas and pizzas on a patio along College Street, while to the west, near Bathurst, you can investigate the row of Portuguese restaurants.

Dining Tips

If you book a meal near the top of the CN Tower, your admission is free. Find late-night dining after 2am around College and Yonge Street.
