Kansas City's Crown Center Square hosts a free movie night every Friday during the summer, featuring a range of classics. Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket and lawn chairs for more comfortable viewing.
The 2009 season begins with The Sandlot. Other films on the bill include The Wizard of Oz (7 August), Pirates of the Caribbean (14 August) and The Karate Kid (17 July).
