Riverbend Festival
More than 650,000 people visit Chattanooga's Riverbend festival for nine nights of music on six stages from 100-plus artists. Jazz, country, blues, folk, bluegrass and classical music are all on the bill.
Riverbend dates back to 1981, the result of a wish to bring diverse elements of the community together through the common language of music. Originally known as Five Nights in Chattanooga, it has now grown to cover nine. It looks like the wish came true.
Past performers have included Black Crowes, Anthony Hamilton and ZZ Top. This year's line-up will be posted on the festival website nearer the date.
