Fort Harrod Beef Festival

The Fort Harrod Beef Festival celebrates the importance of beef production in Kentucky. The three-day festival features beef and bourbon tasting, live music and a juried arts and crafts fair at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.
Further attractions include a steak and eggs breakfast, children's activities, craft demonstrations, a display of cattle art, pony rides, a twilight tour of the fort and a 5K race/walk.
The signature event is traditionally held on Saturday, and competitors compete to produce the best brisket, steak and ground beef. Visitors can sample the food for just US$5 and have a say in the people's choice award.
