Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular
New York City's famously large department store, Macy's, puts on a spectacular Fourth of July display with 14,000 aerial shells which explode from barges positioned all along the east side of the island of Manhattan. The fireworks display is synchronized and choreographed to a musical score.
Showering the East River with a delicious fusion of colours, Macy's celebration is without a doubt the biggest and best party in the city on this hugely popular national holiday. In fact, some cite it as the best fireworks' display in the country.
