Every November Raleigh hosts a Scarecrow Festival at the Pullen Arts Centre in honour of our bird-frightening friends. If you want to build your own, forms and stuffing materials are provided. All you need is some old clothes.
While the festival itself is free, you must register to be able to take part and build your own scarecrow, as space is limited. There are refreshments available as well as other family-oriented activities to help you pass the afternoon in a daze of creativity.
