The Cigar Heritage Festival celebrates the rich heritage that once made Ybor City the "Cigar Capital of the World." The festival takes place in Centennial Park, between North 18th and 19th Streets, along East 9th Avenue.

Ybor City owes its status as a cigar hotspot to three Spaniards who came to the New World in search of a new life. Gavino Gutierrez, Vicente Martinez Ybor and Ignacio Haya started producing cigars here and others followed.

The festival has all manner of cigar-related stalls and talks as well as live entertainment. It is free, except for those who want the VIP experience, where you get the chance to meet the legends of the cigar industry, sample premium cigars, wine and food.
