International Yoga Festival

International Yoga Festival. Courtesy of Hermes Arabia

when:May - Jun 2010 (annual)
where:Pyramids at Giza

Join the International Yoga Festival's journey, starting at the ancient Pyramids of Giza and ending in Petra. Discover the art of yoga and its benefits through sunrise and evening meditations, and learn about astrology, karma, free will and spirituality.

After a special ceremony on the third day at the Khufu Pyramid, Giza, participants travel to the Jordan Rift Valley and the lowest point on Earth, the Dead Sea. A short distance from the main base, the next trip is to Mount Nebo, the burial place of the prophet Moses, with views of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. The last leg of the journey takes participants to ancient Petra, a 2000-year-old city carved into Jordan's rose-coloured sandstone mountains.

Please visit the festival website for further information and bookings.
