Gröna Lund
Sweden's oldest fairground, Gröna Lund is located over the water from the city centre, in Djurgården. Spectacular views are offered from the top of some of its scarier rides, especially the 80 metre-high Free Fall.
Gröna Lund (Green Grove) has been run by the same family for over 116 years. Visitors can enjoy various rides and attractions, eight restaurants and a varied concert programme featuring both Swedish and international artists. The park also has the tallest free-fall tower in Europe and three rollercoasters that are sure to put a smile on the kids' faces. Gröna Lund boasts attractions that are common to amusement parks, such as the "Tunnel of Love", a funhouse, as well as three rollercoasters, including "Jetline" designed by Anton Schwarzkopf.
Bob Marley famously played the venue, attracting 27,000 people in 1980, which had been his third performance at the venue, having already played there in 1977 and 1978.
