Varadero
Varadero is one of the largest resort areas in the Caribbean, stretched out along the Hicacos peninsula. It is 21km long but just 1.2km thick at its widest point and has exceptional white sand beaches and turquoise water that make it popular with sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts from around the world. At the north-eastern end of the peninsula there is a nature reserve with virgin forests and beaches.
