Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum

Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum, also known as the 'Cup and Saucer', Guernsey

when:Apr - Sep 2010 (annual)
where:Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum
time:Daily 10am-5pm

Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum stands on Rocquaine Bay, along Guernsey's rocky west coast near the infamous Hanois reefs. It tells the story of the island's numerous shipwrecks, with salvaged artefacts and illustrations.

The museum is housed in a small 19th-century martello tower, known locally as the "Cup and Saucer" because of its shape. After a visit, the vast sands around provide a wonderful place to reflect on the power of the sea.
