Old Sacramento travels back in time over Labor Day weekend at the Gold Rush Days festival. Re-enactors roam the streets and cars are banned for this weekend that also features horse-drawn wagon rides, banjo-playing cowboys and gold panning.

Visitors can dodge bullets during the high noon shoot-outs, watch a Colt revolver salesman demonstrating his wares, take part in outdoor bowling, 1850s style, or explore the ethnic village with its arts, crafts and artefacts from cultures that helped shape the Sacramento region.
