The organisers of the successful Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival return to Belfast with the mini Out to Lunch Arts Festival, bringing lunchtime and evening theatre, music and art to the Black Box arts venue. A literary tour of Belfast also features.

Launching the festival on the Friday afternoon is the Dr Sketchy's cabaret, closely followed by the evening Pauper's Ball featuring live music and dancing. Stand-up comedy comes from the likes of Owen O'Neill, who later hosts a comedy workshop (10 January). International sounds from Zimbabwean-influenced group Afrish spice up lunchtime on 22 January.

Special events at this year's festival include the Black Market, with stalls run by local independent artists, designers and record labels. The literary bus tour leaves from The John Hewitt at 2pm on 17 January and lunchtime performances include a meal which is served before the event - make sure you arrive before 1pm so you don't miss out!
