when:May 2010 (annual)
where:Galway City

First held in 1996, the Galway Early Music Festival of medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music is increasing in popularity, attracting some excellent players across a variety of musical styles to Galway City.

Visitors come from England, America and Europe - supplementing a substantial local and national audience. Musicians also parade through the streets and along the 700-year-old medieval city wall on the Saturday of the event. Dancing, costumes and street performances provide visual stimulation to match the music.

Please visit the festival website for full programme details.
