The Galway Film Fleadh at the Town Hall Theatre is a part of the large and spectacular Galway Arts Festival, which takes over the city for several days in July every year.
Traditionally screening an impressive range of Irish and international movies, the event has a fair claim to being the leading festival for Irish filmmaking.
The festival has three competitive programmes - New Irish Shorts, New Irish Documentaries, New Irish Animations - as well as various masterclasses, debates and seminars.
