Lanaudière International Festival
First held in 1977, the Festival de Lanaudière is Canada's premier summer classical music festival. Held each year just north of Montréal in Joliette, it includes concerts and recitals held at the Joliette Amphitheatre and in local churches.
Not only celebrating the rich classical heritage of great Canadian performers, but also inviting international ensembles and artists, the festival brings dozens concerts throughout the season to lift the heart. Big orchestral and choral concerts take place in the al fresco Amphitheatre, while smaller recitals are played in various church venues close by.
