The Alcan Dragon Boat Festival enters its second decade with more visitors than ever. It takes place in the waters of False Creek and Creekside Park, beside Science World, five minutes from downtown Vancouver.
The event has become one of the city's most popular family festivals since its inception in 1989. Around 180 teams compete, watched by up to 90,000 people, who also enjoy a variety of arts, entertainment and children's programming.
