The Basilica of Koekelberg is a colossal neo-gothic church in the eponymous neighbourhood in the north of Brussels. At 89 metres high and 167 metres long, it is the fifth-largest church in the world.

The main dome is flanked by two towers, and can be climbed in summer for outstanding views of the city.

Although King Leopold II laid its first stone in 1905, the construction of the Basilica was halted by the two World Wars and wasn't finished until 1971.
