First Thursdays at Whitechapel Gallery
On the first Thursday of every month the Whitechapel Gallery opens its doors until 9pm, offering visitors an after-hours glimpse of the latest exhibitions.
More than 80 galleries and museums in East London are part of the First Thursdays scheme, giving hard-working Londoners a chance to nip round their favourite cultural haunts and ponder the paintings after work.
