The Great Chariot Race - The Legend of Ben Hur
Welcome to the world of Caesar, Cleopatra and all things Roman, in modern-day Berlin. The Great Chariot Race - The Legend of Ben Hur in Berlin-Karlshorst promises a fun day out for all, with a history lesson thrown in.
The highlight of the event is the great chariot race, comprising 30 chariots pulled by 120 horses in teams of four around the "Roman" arena. During the day there are other events including pony rides, spear throwing and chariot-driving displays, kids' games, a chariot parade and live music, with a winners' presentation and 200 gladiators thrown in for good measure!
