The Denver Art Museum hosts the Annual Friendship Powwow which features American Indian dancers from the Denver area and the surrounding region. Dances performed include fancy, jingle, grass and traditional with a spectacular grand entry at noon.

The event runs the full gamut of American-Indian culture so there are also hands-on arts activities, storytelling, an arts-and-crafts market and delicious American-Indian food, including Indian tacos and fry bread.
