Held annually since 1989, Cinemanila is an international juried film festival that celebrates and promotes Filipino and Southeast Asian Cinema. Screenings, seminars and workshops are held at Gateway Mall Complex 10 and on the Boracay Islands.
The festival is mainly held at the Gateway Mall complex, but the last three days see movies screened at venues in the idyllic Boracay Islands. No small affair, the event draws renowned guests such as the 2007 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, Quentin Tarantino, and offers a range of educative seminars on the film industry.
