Z-in-motion
Z-in-motion, at Helsinki's Cable Factory, presents two weeks of new expressions in dance from artists such as Jonna Eiskonen, Tiina Huczkowski, Anne Koutonen and Maija Mustonen.
Highlights in 2008 included Thomas Freundlich's Actuator, performed with a human dancer and robot display, exploring the humanisation of machines in dance and how they react to the gestures and movements of human beings. Riikka Theresa Innanen provided the audience with a view of somatic body methods in her unique production of While Riding The Path, I Looked Up; A Bird.
Other performances included solos, real-time drawing and dancing to music with magical helmets!
