Franschhoek Literary Festival

Launched in 2007 to raise funds for a community library and to promote reading, the Franschhoek Literary Festival is a street party held around the Town Hall. It features discussions, poetry, plays, interviews and top local and international authors.
There is always a good number of international writers and poets and a ceremony to announce the winner of the Commonwealth Writers' Prize, so expect to mingle with known authors and the finalists.
