Art, music and dancing take over Charles River bank as the Cambridge River Festival unwinds along a mile-long stretch of Memorial Drive. Jazz, folk, and world music boom from multiple stages and all kinds of art is displayed.

The festival, organised by the Cambridge Arts Council, aims to inspire and involve patrons in the arts. Public art and artist workshops abound, as well as interactive dances and family art-making activities such as ceramics, collage and glassblowing.

The festival is held come rain or shine. There are five stages featuring jazz, family and children, folk, dance and folk dance performance and theatre performances.
