With two million visitors over three weeks, the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at Reliant Park claims to be the largest livestock show in the world. The jam-packed programme includes orchestral and pop concerts and fireworks.

The highlight of Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's special events is the All Around Cowboy Award, which goes to the cowboy who wins the most combined prize money at the Houston Rodeo in two or more events. His own prize is another US$25,000 (lucrative work being a cowboy these days) and an official Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo belt, buckle and saddle.
