The Naughton Gallery is based at Queens University Belfast (QUB) and has one of the city's best collections of local and international art. As well as its permanent collection, the gallery hosts regular temporary exhibitions.
Named after its generous benefactors, Martin and Carmel Naughton, the gallery is made up of QUB's collection of paintings and sculpture. These were purchased by and bequeathed to it since the foundation of the university in 1845. Highlights include Sir John Lavery's A Moorish Garden in Winter (1912), a portrait of writer Seamus Heaney by Tai-Shan Schierenberg and Pio Fedi's sculpture of Galileo.
