where:Georgetown

Established in 1990, the Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta is Malaysia's oldest keelboat sailing regatta and one of the region's top events. The event opens in Port Klang with a welcome party, then travels to Georgetown, Penang and Langkawi.

The next day the yachts race over 80 miles overnight to reach Pangkor. In the evening there is a beachside prize-giving party. But there's no time to get comfy as the next day the yachts are off again overnight to Penang. Once they reach this stopover, a trishaw race, hawker food and street parties add to the fun in Georgetown.

Next on the programme is a race in the waters north of Tanjong Bungah, an overnight race to Langkawi, races within Bass Harbour and a final gala prize-giving dinner.
