Andy Warhol was not celebrated for his musical abilities; nonetheless, as de Young Museum in San Francisco shows, music was very important in his artistic process. This exhibition displays a range of his work inspired by performing arts and music.

Warhol Live at San Francisco's de Young Museum displays major Warhol silkscreen paintings, album covers, illustrations, and photographs inspired by music and the performing arts alongside films and sound recordings. Highlights of the exhibit include a variety of works depicting pop music royalty, including Elvis Presley, Liza Minnelli, Grace Jones and Michael Jackson.
