Fantasies and Fairy-Tales at Crocker Art Museum centres on the printed works of artist Maxfield Parrish. Displaying a range of works from book illustrations to magazine covers, the exhibit offers insight into the relationship between commercial and fine art.

Maxfield Parrish was an American painter and illustrator known for employing dazzlingly luminous colours. His most famous work Daybreak was painted in 1922. Parrish died in 1966 at the age of 95.
