Marathon of the Gulf Capri-Naples
One leg of the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix, the Marathon of the Gulf Capri-Naples is designed for the most experienced and dedicated swimmers. Male and female athletes compete on a 36km course for a generous US$20,000 in prize money.
Winners are determined according to a points system, where participants accumulate points for all events in which they compete. A minimum of three races must be entered, including the last event of the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix, to be eligible for the prize money.
The FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix is one of the two long-distance competition series launched by FINA in 2007 (the other is the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup).
