Vancouver International Comedy Festival

when:Sep 2010 (annual)
where:Granville Island

The Vancouver International Comedy Festival, which takes over Granville Island each summer, is one of the most important in North America. Expect international comics of a high calibre, as well as the best of Canadian talent.

Evening shows (performed in an intimate cabaret-style theatre) offer stand-up, musical, theatrical, improv' and sketch comedy. Two daily outdoor stages feature performances by artists from around the globe. In 2009, one of North America's funniest women, Carol Burnett, returns with a new show in which audiences ask the questions.
