The Masala World Beat Festival brings together a variety of exotic rhythms and world performers at Hanover's Pavillon cultural centre. With an exciting mixture of traditional and contemporary music, the festival bridges the gap between music styles, nations and generations.
Many prominent artists from all over the globe have played in previous years, including the Afro Cuban All Stars, Gilberto Gil, Femi Kuti and Baaba Maal.
There is also a full agenda of free outdoor concerts and a kids' programme. The World Market has food, craft goods from Latin America, Asia and Africa and there are information stands for the one-world groups behind the festival.
