Kleines Fest im Grossen Garten (Little Festival in the Big Garden)
Every summer the people of Hanover enjoy a series of festivals in the inviting landscape of the Herrenhäuser Gardens. Visitors enter a world of masquerade and fairy tales, where harlequins, acrobats and musicians present pantomime and theatre, cabaret and dance.
There are performances by around 100 artists on up to 30 stages, dotted throughout the picturesque gardens. There is always space to sit down between the fountains and hedges, but come early or book in advance, as the festival is popular and the number of tickets limited.
