Caribana
Toronto explodes into a party of multi-coloured carnival costumes, contagious steel-drum beats and shimmying street parades at the annual Caribana. This feast of music and culture celebrates Caribbean-Canadian heritage, with the Caribana Parade carrying pounding soca rhythms down Lakeshore Boulevard.
There is a Junior Carnival for the kids, a hot contest at the Caribana King and Queen Extravaganza and a competition rooting out the most exotic parade costumes and the most popular carnival tunes.
