Held annually in the grounds of Cherry Hinton Hall, the Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the most famous in the world. Listen to the best traditional UK folk to North American country, blues, roots and jazz on three stages.

Eclectic, spontaneous and playful - you'll discover that anything goes, music-wise, at this mix of world music, country and the best of British folk, making for the most civilised of parties. Highlights of the programme in 2009 included Lucinda Williams, The Zutons, Los Lobos, The Saw Doctors, Paul Brady, Booker T, The Waterson Family, Oumou Sangaré, Eddi Reader, Bellowhead and Susan Tedeschi.

There is a full programme of activities for children and further festival entertainment ranging from street theatre and juggling workshops to T'ai Chi and healing.
