The Banff WinterStart Festival features nine days of winter fun held throughout Banff and Lake Louise National Park. Events include sports, outdoor family activities, Christmas carols and light displays as well as a popular gingerbread house decorating contest.

The Banff WinterStart Festival kicks off with the World Cup Alpine races held in Lake Louise. Come watch as the world's fastest skiers fly down the mountain at breakneck speed!

But it's not all extreme sports; the eclectic Banff WinterStart Festival also features concerts and DJ nights, an ice carving demonstration and a Santa Claus Parade.

Families won't want to miss Christmas in the Rockies, an event within the Banff WinterStart Festival.
