Magic Hat Mardi Gras Parade and Block Party
Over 40 floats take part in the Magic Hat Mardi Gras Parade in Burlington, which is followed by parties and live music. The best float wins a two-day ski trip for ten people at Smuggler's Notch ski resort
On Friday night a Masquerade Ball takes place at Higher Ground in nearby Winooski. The parade follows on Saturday in downtown Burlington. After the parade, a block party fills the streets of downtown - a street party in the snow intended for the whole family.
Sponsored by local brewery Magic Hat, the festivities raise money for the town's Women's Rape Crisis Center.
