During this festival the sky over the beautiful Telluride Valley in Colorado fills with balloons during the day. At night, there's a spectacular balloon glow on the town's Main Street.

Balloonists come from around the Southwest for a fun-filled weekend of inflation, flotation and illumination. On the opening night, balloon enthusiasts can meet with pilots and learn what it takes to fly one of these amazing craft.

At sunrise volunteers and spectators gather in the Town Park as the balloons are inflated and soar off above the breathtaking Telluride Valley, Colorado. Volunteers ride for free, so offer your services in time by ringing the organisers (see contact details).

On Saturday night, the balloons move to Main Street for the spectacular balloon glow. At dusk, locals and guests alike line the streets of the National Historic District to watch them light up.

All Balloon Festival events in the region are weather permitting and free of charge. For more information about the festival, accommodation or transportation reservations, please call the contact numbers.
