Winter at Ischgl

Winter in Ischgl. Courtesy of Tourismusverband Paznaun - Ischgl

when:28 Nov 2009 - 1 May 2010 (annual)
where:Ischgl
cost:28 Nov €55 (concert and ski pass)

Ischgl is one of the larger resorts in Austria, with more than 200km of prepared pistes between 1400 and 2900 metres above sea level. Part of the huge Silvretta Region, the resort includes the largest snowboarder's fun park in Europe.

Most of the runs connected to Ischgl are above 2000 metres, so there are fantastic snow conditions. In the lower areas, artificial snow machines provide a fun run down to an aprés ski haven in the town.

The winter season opens and closes with a Top of the Mountain Concert (28 November and 1 May). In 2009 the opening concert features Katy Perry. During the winter season don't miss the Ischgl Mountain Christmas (26 December), Shapes in White (11-15 January) and the Top of the Mountain Easter Concert (4 April).
