The Woodford Folk Festival is a unique arts showcase, held over the New Year period. It focuses on artists living in Australia, but also features a generous gathering of special international guests, presenting over 2000 performers on numerous stages.

Visitors can also choose from a bewildering number of dance events, workshops, forums, street theatre, writers' and musicians' seminars, a film festival and competition, comedy sessions, acoustic jams, history forums, an entire children's festival and an Indigenous Murri Festival, not to mention late-night cabarets and spontaneous occurrences. It's one long and unmissable party, with a climax at the dawn of the New Year.

You can gauge the quality of the line up from 2007/2008 band line-up, which included Celtic band Shooglenifty, pipe-playing That 1 Guy, Canadian rock singer Hawksley Workman, French museum TeTe, ska group Babylon Circus and ethnomusicologist Bob Brozman.

The camping areas have toilets and shower facilities, general lighting, security patrols and a laundry service as well as both first aid and a doctors' surgery. A general store in the main camping area provides ice, gas etc. Lantern-lined streets, art works and hand-crafted bridges, more than 150 quality arts and crafts stalls and 40 food venues plus six fully licensed bars provide a variety of fascinating routes to each of the 20 entertainment venues.
From the hilltop above the festival grounds there is a superb view of the Glass House Mountains.
