Deeply rooted in the imaginary world of the famous cartoon strip, Parc Astérix offers visitors a humorous and eventful day out. Two million people flock to the park in Plailly every year to enjoy the many Gaulish rides and attractions.

Visitors can embark on a terrific journey at speeds of over 80kph on the giant wooden roller coaster Tonnerre de Zeus, or take a daring slide back into prehistoric times aboard La Trace du Horra. This unique attraction takes thrill-seekers on a twisting, turning journey aboard a bobsleigh, through a metal chute at a speed of 54kph.

The newest attractions include the Gaulish Village - a settlement of 16 huts and an exact replica of the one Albert Uderzo drew for the original comic book - and The Druids' School, open to little imps from the age of three years. Here apprentice wizards can learn how to turn rabbits into hens, hens into rabbits and Romans into goats.

A well-earned rest from all the action can be found at Les Stars de l'Empire, where visitors can take in live acrobatic shows direct from the Roman arena (without the gory bits) and marvel at the antics of flying gladiators and mysterious magicians.

Set within the heart of a protected forest and featuring 31 attractions, nine large shows, 40 food outlets and over 20 themed shops, the park provides a perfect day out for all the family, while kids of all ages will enjoy the chance to encounter Astérix, Obelix and all their friends.
